Our Story

Who we are?
Heart 4 The Poor, is an umbrella charity which aims to raise aid for a wide range of projects across the world. Heart 4 the Poor, was started after Fiona Macey, founder’s first visit to India in December 2009. The level of poverty in India and the lack of basic facilities for the people were seen. This gave an understanding of poverty and injustice that exists around the world. Heart 4 the poor became a registered charity in 2010.
Since then she has visited India ten times, giving out rice to a leper colony, school stationery to children, sarees to widows and distributed food which include rice, bread and sweets in slums. We are inspired by the love of God to extend our support to all the people that are in need.

What we do?
We want to gradually reduce the poverty level and see a world with smile without poverty. To accomplish this, we work with various individuals, local charity organisations, and companies etc, to fight hunger, provide drinking water, seek justice for women, education for children, and cope with emergencies.

Why we do?
We are trying to bring proper facilities to the most disadvantaged people in the developing world, focusing not only on the physical needs of the people but also on the social needs of the community as a whole. We stand for people who can't stand for themselves in the hope that we can give them the help and facilities they need to form sustainable communities.
In over two years we have started to make a difference for the people we have met in India and Pakistan, as well as being open to help other nations in the future.

Where we work?
We aim to reach through the world and at present we have reached India, Pakistan. We work for poor families – Seniors, adult and children
